Allentown - Ordinance 734.01

Anyone familiar with this Ordinance, and how strickly is it enforced, and is it even 'legal'?

According to Sunday's Paul Carpenter column ( http://www.mcall.com/news/columnists...4746275.column ), it states that ''No person shall use, carry or discharge firearms of any kind, air rifles, spring guns, bows and arrows, slings or any other forms of weapons within the limits of the city,''

It appears to be a violation.

The ordinance, which in not legal, was enacted in 1962, some 33 years before the Uniform Firearms Act. Essentially, it's a Blue Law, unenforceable, and never removed from the books.
