Re: AR uppers???
It depends on brand and specs. Are they chrome lined? 4140 or 4150 barrel steel? If you post the brand /model people could prob help out more.

Re: AR uppers???
I may be entering the worlds of ARs soon. I would be following in the footsteps of a great former moderator of the preeminent Pa. firearms website and doing it piece by piece. If your price is right on a decent upper I would be interested. If you are referring to the oaks show I am planning on attending.
I did not even know what a forward assist was untill I googled it a few minutes ago so I don't think I need one. I am good with a shotgun so that is my go if shtf. Some people just plain suck.
If you're gonna be dumb ya gotta be tough.

Re: AR uppers???
they all 3 say chrome bore..no 'brand' but have the old military greenish finish. One has to assume they are 1-12" twist bks there is NO twist markings on them. They have the older triangular handguards and bayonet lugs. I just wanted a ball park figure so I can sell them.

Are they flat top or do they have integrated carry handles?
As stated before pics would eliminate so much back and forth trying to pick info out of you. LOLI called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: AR uppers???
If they are Colt surplus M16 uppers they bring a pretty good dollar today. Check out gunbroker to get an idea

Re: AR uppers???
Sounds like you either have original A1 uppers or copy's either way people pay good money for them for retro builds. do they have shell deflectors?
edit: just looking at gunbroker, it seems as prices have fell alot. probably around $350-$400 eachLast edited by messeduprex; December 8th, 2016 at 09:28 AM.

Re: AR uppers???
If they're old mil uppers, they might have a stamped or raised C on the receiver by the carry handle followed by a keyhole, "A", etc. What kind of muzzle device? A2 birdcage? 3-prong? Check under the handguard for barrel information...Does the front sight base have an "F" on it? Is there a brass deflector that looks like a wedge or a half-circle?
Again, pics would help big time.I'm only here for the wood c-rings.
