ITAR Relief
Greetings,
In regard to the problems that surfaced earlier in the year with the new
guidance letter from the DDTC reclassifying many traditional gun smith tasks as "manufacturing" which would therefore require ITAR registration, this may be of interest:
A proposed bill to remedy the situation is called the "Export Control Reform Act of 2016" and was introduced by US House Rep Steve Scalise (R-LA) and Senator Steve Daines (R-MN).
Please contact your US House Reps and Senators and ask them to support HR-6176.
