The article above is one of many. It is of concern to me that he is being given serious consideration for the Secretary of State position. Between Kerry and Hillary, and the other gun grabbers serving as our UN Representative, the global advancement of civilian disarmament has been going full throttle. So we are going to trust our rights in this venue to Patraeus? He is just the man to promote the UN Small Arms treaty and similar initiatives and to surrender our sovereignty on this issue.

If he is appointed, this is where I would hope that Ted Cruz resurfaces to grill him on that point.

I agree with that. Plus, even though Trump was right to excoriate Clinton for her criminal acts in passing along classified information in an illegal manner, how does he explain bringing another person into his cabinet that was guilty of the same thing, even if his crime was not of the same magnitude as Clinton's? I think it compromises Trump. Patraeus and Romney as the leading candidates for SOS, two losers in my book and both enemies of the Second Amendment. I would rather see Rudy. Even though he is not as solid on the 2A as I might like, he knows how to deal with terrorists and terrorist supporting nations.
