Pretty nice zoo if anyone is thinking of going.."The world is a dangerous place to live, not because of the people who are evil but, because of the people who do nothing about them."

Re: Just got home from the Cleveland zoo
We've gone there twice in the past two years. It is quite a nice place and far and above the pittsburgh zoo. About a two hour drive but worth it with all the things to do there. To really top off the day the rock n' roll hall of fame is a very interesting place. Oh but in case I forgot to mention Cleveland still sucks, lets not forget that.

Re: Just got home from the Cleveland zoo
I grew up in Akron and spent a lot of time at the Cleveland Zoo ... haven't been there in 20+ years ... hope it is as nice as it used to be.
On that note, anyone hit Cedar Point this summer? MAN do I LOVE that place .. SO MANY good memories there.

Re: Just got home from the Cleveland zoo
We went to the Cleveland Zoo about 5 years ago. Cleveland sucked every day before that and every day there after. But on that one day......Cleveland rocked! +1 on the Cleveland Zoo.

Re: Just got home from the Cleveland zoo
Thanks for the post Jay, I have been debating taking the family over there. Do they honor the Erie Zoo membership, I wonder?

Yes they honor the Erie memberships and you get free admission. We spent a total of about $25 at the zoo, the "touch exhibit" was a dollar each ($3.00) and the remaining ~$22.00 was on food and a drink here and there. Add in ~$50.00 for gas/misc supplies/other food and for under $100.00 you have a nice family day. FYI they have beer huts complete with super pretzels and popcorn. They also have a on-site mcdonalds, KFC, I think taco bell and another restaurant. The touch exhibit was cool and worth it for a dollar. It was a huge pool type enclosure with approx 20 stingrays in it (de-barbed) and you just put your arm in and as they swap past you could pet them. Their cheetah exhibit was awesome too. Infact, compared to Erie it all was amazing.
Bobby, I'll get some pics up around midweek."The world is a dangerous place to live, not because of the people who are evil but, because of the people who do nothing about them."

Thanks for the reply Jay. It sounds like I can add that to our "to do" list.
