    Question 9mm

I am in the market to purchase a 9mm for concealed carry. I would like your opinions on which pistols to consider.
    Thank you

Find friends/associates/range members that own 9mm and beg/borrow some range time. Most are happy to share.

Its all a function of budget , then what "feels" best.

I don't like Glocks------hand grip doesnt do it for me--made well--accurate---but not a natural motion.

    My Sig 225-------------luuuuuvvvvvv it.
    Beretta 92-Brigadier luv it too---carry is OWB-----it's big---but feels/shoots great.

    Howdy JMP,
Hit a range that rents and try everything you can. Grap everyone you know that has one and try it.
Go to a gun show and the local shops and feel those that intrest you, see what feels good in your hand.
Be sure that you can reach all of the controls and operate them.

    Cool Re: 9mm

IF YOU HAVE ISSUES WITH THE GRIP OF A GLOCK YOU CAN SEND IT TO SHAVE IT DOWN,OR ANOTHER GOOD IDEA,TRY THE KAHR CW 9,AND REMEMBER THERE ARE RREEAAL CHEAP SIG SAUER P6/225 IN J&G SALES FOR 249.95 AND THEY HAVE 10 ROUNDER MAGAZINES FOR THEM AT 18.95,HOW CAN YOU GO WRONG WITH ONE OF THOSE SIGS? ONLY LESS THAN 300.00 BUCKAROOS IN YOUR HAND AND I SAW ONE ALREADY FROM J&G AND IT LOOKS IMPECABLE AND FIRE LIKE A DREAM,I WILL SAY GO ON AND ORDER ONE,FOR THE PRICE IS A HECK OF A GUN AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT YOU CAN MAKE BACK YOUR MONEY IN A BRISK...........JUST MY .02 CENTS...

I CC a Springfield XD9 with no problem, it's not a subcompact or even a compact. Just a standard size XD9.

There are a lot of good 9mm's out there, like otherwise said, if you know someone who has one try to shoot some different ones. See which one that feels best to you.

For full sized concealed carry 9mm I would feel good carrying any of the following:

    Sig Saur P226/P229
    Springfield Armory XD,
    S&W M&P,
    Glock,
    Berreta 92fs,
Heckler & Koch USP or P2000.
    (no particular order)

Hmm, that list was longer than it was in my head for some reason heh.

For compact models I would look at a subset of the same list using their compact models.

Can't go wrong with Glock, Sig, Kahr, or XD if you ask me. I carry a Glock 23 (19 is the exact same size) and a Kahr PM9 when I want something easier to conceal.

this is like asking what kind of car to get....go to a shop, ask some questions, then look into what you saw and liked.

Can't say enough about a kahr p9/cw9, etc. All the kahr 9mm are great for CC!

I carry a Glock 23...and Walther P99 both are 40 calibre and the same size.

It all depends on your price range too but HK USP or the new P30...there's a lot of good choices out there..

Glockguy- what's going on? When are we hitting the range again.
