Applying for SBR in Philadelphia?
I have a couple AK pistols I'd like turn into SBRs. At one time, it was near impossible being approved in Philly using comventional application methods. The best way was to create a trust. A buddy of mine told me the laws have changed, and no CLEO sign off is needed, just fingerprints and a photo.
Is this true?
I applied for two paper version Form 1 applications using the ATF website.Last edited by joelad; November 6th, 2016 at 04:37 PM. Reason: Corrected typos

CLEO sign off is no longer required. You just have to notify them when filing. I have not filed since that change, but I'm sure the instructions are provided for the Form 1 on the ATF website.
