PMSC Public Indoor Range?
A friend of mine seems to think that PMSC lets anyone shoot at their Indoor Range for a fee of $5.
Is this true?
If so... is the price $5.00?
Thanks,
T.Fly

Re: PMSC Public Indoor Range?
I don't think its public. I am a member of PMSC and couldn't use it until I went through the orientation with SteveD and was issued a key. Maybe the only way to use it while not being a member is when they have IPSC practice or possibly a match.
I am sure someone who can clarify will chime in shortly.

Re: PMSC Public Indoor Range?
Tony, the indoor range is not open to the public. Your friend may be giving you information from several years ago. Our IPSC practice on Thursday nights is open to the public. During the winter months the practice moves inside to the indoor range and the charge is $3. We shoot from 6pm to 9pm. When we're outside there is no charge. Oh, first time shooting is free. Only applies when we're inside.

Re: PMSC Public Indoor Range?
Also, if things have not changed since I joined a few years ago, members are not permitted to bring a guest to the indoor range.(Except, as stated above, for IPSC practice)
Members may bring a guest to shoot outdoors.

Re: PMSC Public Indoor Range?
How many guests can a member bring? More than one?
Also... can a person join at any time or do they have to wait until the meeting... my friend would like to join tomorrow morning if its possible?
Thanks again

Re: PMSC Public Indoor Range?
A member may bring one guest.
Yes a person can apply to join at any time. However, as with most clubs, you need to be voted in. Usually never a problem.
You're friend can apply by going to pmsconline.com and printing out the membership application and sending some money and a photo for the membership card. However, at this time it would be quicker to come to next Wednesdays meeting and apply then, he/she will get their photo taken and at the end of the meeting will be voted in. New access card keys will also be available as we're switching over to an electronic card access system.
