smith and wesson 438 feed back
I have been kicking around the idea of getting one of these for a while but before I do I just wanted to see what other guys thought of theirs.

It's the same as the 638 but with the black finish instead of grey. I had a 638 for a couple years.
J frame .38+P. Hard on the hand. It's not a gun you take to the range and shoot for hours. Great for concealment though.
Get a decent Hogue grip if it doesn't have one standard.
I traded it for an even smaller .380 and look back fondly on it.

Re: smith and wesson 438 feed back
I had and carried a 637 for about five years. I shot many rounds and it held up very well. In 2008 I sold it to buy a no lock 642. Same deal, I carry and shoot it often.
I say buy with confidence when it comes to Smith J-frames.
