New American Eagle .223 Ammo at Walmart - Green Box

Walmart is now stocking a new American Eagle product.

First things first - it's $6.44/20 rd box!

20 rd box (green/white/black in color) Labled "American Made. Military Grade"
Brass case
55 gr
Muzzle Velocity 3240 FPS
Item # AE223M

It's currently selling next to the American Eagle in the black box that they have carried for years which is a bit over $7/box.

I Googled it to see if I could find anything out and found the following info posted by someone on another forum.
I will provide a link to his post here to give credit where deserved for calling for info.

His text:
"Ya, I just got off the phone with a product specialist at Federal. He said, (AE223M) is a brand new product, the only difference between the ammo you purchased and this suff is the Mil-spec primer. I guess that's what the, "M" stands for, (Mil-Spec.) The difference between the boxes of, (AE223F) and (AE223J) is the packaging. I was told the boxes marked with the, "J " are slightly bigger and have plastic dividers, and the boxes marked with the, "F" do not."

I don't know the first thing about primers or reloading, but after looking it up I believe he may have meant mil-spec "crimp"?
Maybe someone can clear that up?

Anyway, it's good news to have affordable brass ammo that can be bought for 32 cents/rd and not have to buy it by the case to get that price!

My pics - as evidenced by the gravel. I stopped at the nearby store after the group shoot yesterday and got some.

Lol! I'm in Pittsburgh a lot. Wash Wally World never seems to keep ammo in stock. I'll just buy the stack!

For ammo, I usually do just get it in one the fifty Wally Worlds in Pittsburgh. I'm there often enough.

Every photo I've posted for the last 5 years or so has been taken with a cell phone.
I've had the Galaxy S5 for just over 2 years. It takes incredible photos with the right light and if I can keep my hand steady.
Not always easy to make it focus on the exact spot you want, but not bad.
