Re: M&P Shield surpressor
Is your barrel threaded?
I'm not a S&W guy, but I didnt think the Shield line came with threaded options. The full size M&Ps do, along with after market options.
You would have to get it threaded and extended to be able to run a can. The full size M&P barrels are different, so swapping one out won't work either.
Personally, I would just buy another gun to run a can on. If you already own cans and pistols to use them on, which you may and didnt mention it, and this was just a "f'it, going to see if this works" thing then live it up.
Look into Tornado Technology for the thread and extend work. Be prepared to wait though.
As YF posted above, you will need a light weight can to allow it to cycle. But guys get G26s to run, and the barrels are similar length.

Re: M&P Shield surpressor
I have seen some threaded aftermarket barrel kits on the Internet for the shield. This is going to be my first silencer, this is a new game to me.
