Question for people that reload 9mm
I am eventually going to start reloading, specifically subsonic 9mm to start.
Do you bother to sort your cases according to headstamps, or doesn't it matter at all with 9mm?

Re: Question for people that reload 9mm
Nope. I throw them into a bucket and just grab a handful when I need them. The only thing I separate out are mil. cases with crimpped primers. Those I prep, reload, then throw the finished round into the SHTF stash. Not because they are better or worse than commercial brass, but so I know that if I happen to pick up a piece of mil. brass at the range, it needs to have the crimp removed before reloading.

I would imagine if you were shooting bullseye matches you may want to sort rounds by oal and weight for consistency but for practical shooting probably not an issue.

I only sort brass from nickle, but that's just for kicks. Enjoy the hobby!

Re: Question for people that reload 9mm
I don't sort any of my pistol brass by brand and that includes .380, 9mm, .40, .45, .38, and .357. If I am loading for hunting I will sort my .44 brass.
If your loading range ammo it's all good.

Re: Question for people that reload 9mm
Add another "nope" to the tally. I have several thousand rounds of 9mm and .45acp loaded up, all with mixed headstamps.

Re: Question for people that reload 9mm
I just throw it all in together. If I have happened to pick up range brass I inspect the headstamps and throw out any dodgy ones I don't like. After the brass is cleaned and resized if it fits the case gauge and passes other visual inspection then I'm happy.
