    Sure it's here i can't find it, from local to state law enforcement agencys, is there a policy in place, for officers to have or not have a round chambered while on duty ?

    I forget which law it is , but if you read all the way through the internet and go to the second to the last page you'll see the citation of law. And , if read verbatim it actually says they must keep all their ammo in the trunk, separate from the magazines, and the gun has to be kept , locked , in the glove compartment until they get a Operational Order from their dispatche...............Is this a serious question? If so, what exactly are you smoking, and why haven't you offered to share with the rest of us?

    My agency specifically mentions carrying a round in the chamber, a topped off magazine in the handgrip, and spare mags.

    Always one in the chamber. It does no good to clear leather only to hear a click when a bang is needed.
