This specialized class was closed-enrollment and just went open to everyone.

This class teaches the basics of patrolling. Each student will receive a copy of the US Army SUT handbook. This will be the book used by students and cadre throughout the course. After enrolling, students will receive a detailed gear list and more information specific to the class.

This will be an overnight class.

Prerequisites: Carbine 101 or equivalent

• Small unit leadership

• Pen paper
• duty gear
• comfortable clothing for movement through wooden areas
• any personal items needed
• Rifle/Carbine
• 150 rounds
• 5 Magazines
• carrying system for gear
• Back pack
• Sleeping bag or sleep system
• flash light
• Students will receive a detailed gear list and more information specific to the class.
