I bought 14,000 rounds of it maybe three-four years ago at $100 to $120 per thousand, and have 13,000+ rounds remaining. In my opinion and experience, it is VERY GOOD. Accuracy is equal to or better than Wolf steel cased 7.62x39, and similar to that of Ulyanovsk and Klimovsk 7.62x39.

I've been shooting off the remaining Wolf 7.62x39 that I have (maybe 5,000-6,000 rds left) and keeping the Golden Tiger, Ulyanovsk, and Klimovsk stuff for a rainy, SHTF-sorta day.

Whether it's a good deal or not at $180 per thousand is up to you.

$180 comes out to $3.00 per box of 20 vs. $3.99 per box local on average...I guess it isn't too bad for today's prices on everything. I think the $100 per case days are long gone!

Aimsurplus has similar prices on the wolf stuff...They also have the hotshot brand in the spam cans..I got a couple of these for long term storage.

I bought a case of Golden Tiger from AIM about a year ago... shoots fine. Folks on SKS boards say it's better than Wolf.

I just ordered the 1000rd case from copes, and I will have it in two days.
I have heard plenty of good reviews on them, so I am sold. It was $197.00 including shipping.
