I'm surprised this liberal rag printed this story.

Re: Pastor's wife shoots would-be robber in Northeast Philly
The firearm jammed after the first shot. That could have been a problem. This is where I recommend to my girl friends that have small hands and arms to keep a revolver for a self defense weapon. I have seen plenty of failed to eject problems with women because you need a firm grip on a semi automatic for it function properly. I'm glad this particular woman saved her husband and herself from harm but that ability to have a follow up shot is mighty important.

Re: Pastor's wife shoots would-be robber in Northeast Philly
All my CZ-75 variants, my BHP and my other semi autos all still function when I purposely try to limp wrist them. I think some polymer guns are more susceptible. When I was working with my previous wife to learn to shoot before we took a few courses, she would limp wrist the polymer guns, and a Sig P228 I used to have, and they sometimes would malfunction. She did end up buying a revolver.

Was thinking the same thing. Inexperienced shooters need to be aware that limp wristing can cause big problems, especially when fine motor skills are diminished in a SD situation. This is also why I encourage +P rounds to get more punch for a full cycle, even if they have slightly more recoil. Also malfunction clearing drills should be practiced.
