Re: The Fantasy of Peace & Safety!
I'm bumping this thread for a re-examination of the issues now that we are facing another national election. After the disaster of the 2020 election results, the 2024 re-match is even more critically important in order to hold off a complete loss of the American Principles.

Re: The Fantasy of Peace & Safety!
I do not see how others who are irresponsible with their guns, are criminals or may happen to be mentally impaired should impact me as a law-abiding citizen. It always seems that in order to fix a problem it's much easier to punish all instead of calling out the violators and focusing on the individuals that have done these horrible crimes. Manipulation of what an issue is referred to such as a "Health condition" doesn*t make the crimes manifest itself into something else, the crime remains the same. I fail to see how the newest fad of calling it *Health condition* helps fix anything. It seems that in most cases where violent crimes occur there was ample opportunity to identify someone who is dangerous either to themselves or to society. Criminals who are continuously released after perpetrating gun crimes is a prime example. Tell me why I should go through a bunch hoops and additional time & expense because the government I am "supposed" to trust doesn*t do its job? There are bad people in our country that do bad things with guns. I do not dispute that and I don*t happen to be one of them nor will I ever be one, but men like me who obey the law, have respect for the law and the rights of others should not be subjected to the sorts of things these gun grabbers subscribe to.
Yes those like me are always suspicious of anti-gunner groups because of the way these groups have tried to circumvent the system to get what they want. Things like getting credit card companies to report on gun purchases are viewed by myself and those I know as sneaky, underhanded and unethical. This is just one example of why efforts to ban firearms are always defeated because the underlying reasons these anti-gun groups use to advance their agendas are never stated up front and men like me have seen the insincerity and attempt to deceive over and over. Common sense statements always mean that these groups start with a step one, that turns into their ultimate goal of a total ban or restrictions, fees and inconveniences that discourage gun purchases and ownership period.
I for one have zero faith in the Government and its intentions. No bail, no penalties for felons using guns, violent criminals set loose daily, and those things should convince me I shouldn't carry, own or use firearms? The grabbers are totally deluded.

Major supermarket announces new store trial which will track you as you shop
Barney Davis - 03 April 2025
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...-b2728060.html
Asda has launched a live facial recognition trial that will track shoppers walking down its aisles.
The two-month pilot of the new technology that police use to monitor protests and large crowds comes as retailers say they are facing an "epidemic of retail crime".
It launched this week at Asda stores in Ashton, Chadderton, Harpurhey, Eastlands and Trafford Park in Greater Manchester after the supermarket recorded 1,400 staff were assaulted last year -- an average of four assaults on staff per day.
The facial recognition technology has been integrated into Asda's existing CCTV network and scans images of shoppers comparing the results to a known list of people who have previously committed criminal activity on an Asda site, the supermarket said.
If a match is found by the automated system, in a matter of seconds a member of the Asda head office security team can report a suspect to the store in real time.
An Asda spokesman said: "Store management will alert the authorities whenever they feel it is right to do so when an offence is being committed; that is true of all stores and not only those participating in the trial.
"Only the mathematical data is stored of confirmed persons who have committed an offence, and this is for the two months of the trial."
The supermarket giants said results would be assessed but if successful, it could be rolled out nationally.
According to the British Retail Consortium (BRC), there are more than 2,000 incidents of violence and abuse against shopworkers every day -- a threefold increase since 2020.
Liz Evans, Asda's chief commercial officer, said: "The rise in shoplifting and threats and violence against shopworkers in recent years is unacceptable and as a responsible retailer we have to look at all options to reduce the number of offences committed in our stores and protect our colleagues.
"We consistently look for new ways to improve the security in our stores and this trial will help us understand if facial recognition technology can reduce the number of incidents and provide greater protection to everybody in our stores."
The use of live facial recognition by police forces in public places -- where cameras scan an area and analyse every person that passes through * has raised concerns about privacy.
Campaigners have branded the technology as "disturbing" and "unnecessary" as they likened it to "Orwellian mass surveillance" in Russia and China.
There are also questions about how data is stored and the companies who supply the technology.
Human rights organisation Liberty raised concerns about racial profiling using the new technology after a study by the National Physical Laboratory found that it was 11 times more likely to misidentify black women rather than white women.
An Asda spokesman said they didn't recognise those concerns, adding: "Once the system finds a suspected match, an alert is then sent to a member of our internal security team who will confirm the match is accurate ... at which point they will alert the store."
The trial comes as shoplifting has surged to another record high with nearly half a million offences recorded last year, while retailers have warned crime in shops is "spiralling out of control".
A separate survey by the British Retail Consortium (BRC) found that incidents of retail crime * including racial and sexual abuse, physical assault and threats with weapons -- have reached three times the level they were in 2020.
"Retail crime is spiralling out of control. People in retail have been spat on, racially abused, and threatened with machetes," said BRC chief executive Helen Dickinson.
"Every day this continues, criminals are getting bolder and more aggressive. We owe it to the 3 million people working in retail to bring the epidemic of crime to heel. No one should go to work in fear."
You can see that the coddled treatment of criminals, returning them to the streets without sufficient punishment, is causing chaos in all types of venues. Then the Liberal Leftists claim that the chaos is justification for use of Authoritarian Measures to address the issue of 'Peace & Safety'. They create the chaos with their policies and then use the existence of chaos to demand control.

England is lost because they let every Tom, DICk, and threw out Harry, run the country. Cameras need to be put on the pedos running their country.

Re: The Fantasy of Peace & Safety!
The Brits are subjects, not citizens, just like the Canadians, even though they get their faggy noses all out of joint if you bring it up. The King abandoned the social contract generations ago.
It was supposed to be agreed that the King would protect the subjects in return for the protection of and loyalty to the King.
That went away long ago when the UK and the last holdouts went to a parliamentary form of government and reduced the King and royal to a largely powerless, inbred parasitic blight.
There is no culture of individual rights like we have after throwing off the yoke of the monarchy. The current King is a soft-headed nitwit that has no power and is the picture of of a hapless moron that cannot do a thing for himself but suckle the public teat.
Were I a subject of the King, the above would get me arrested.
Back when the King had balls and mattered, the British Empire (rightly or wrongly) ruled the world. Today, the Royals are squishy little blue bloods that can't get out of their own way. They deserve nothing but contempt. They brought their nation's trouble on themselves, fuck them.Crusader's local #556 South Central Asia chapter
