May want to relocated. Can someone tell me about Bedord?

Wife and I are thinking of a get-away place for vacations and weekends. I happened to mention Bedford, PA, based on something I saw somewhere. Now, she's almost obsessed with the idea, constantly looking up properties on the web and sending them to me. I'd guess that some time down the road (after the MIL passes) we might consider moving there permanently. Any thoughts from Bedford members would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you into competitive shooting, Bedford County Pistol League has weekly Wednesday night matches. A mix of styles, usually steel when it's raining, other stuff on dry nights. Good group of people, too.

Thanks, IV-W. We're mainly looking to get away from the Philly suburbs and find a quieter pace amongst people who would appreciate some good neighbors.

Yep, that would be anywhere other than Philadelphia!

(Or other dem run locals like Reading, York, or Harrisburg)
