    Default SKS M59 Carbine

I'm sure there's info. somewhere on it but I'm too lazy to search I have a couple SKS rifles but am no expert. Wondering if this is a good deal? Seems average to me but wanted to check :

Yugoslav M.59 carbine 7.62x39. A rare find! Very good condition. Electro penciled bolts, matching receivers and stocks. With cleaning accessories and pouch.

    $369.99

    "Rare find"? I doubt that.

I haven't followed the rising prices, but I recall paying $119 for mine caked in Cosmoline - I wanna say around 2006.
Obama and drying up supplies caused the increase. Sold mine and regret it because I don't want to pay the going rate to replace it.
I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

I was wondering about that "rare find" ? It's like all the GB auctions that start with "rare" to drive the price up !

All matching numbers are clearly more desirable and not as common, but I wouldn't say "rare".

Mine was matching except for one part - forget which. Like all military rifles, some were repaired before storage.
I would think that "unissued" would be more rare than "matching numbers".

M59's are certainly uncommon but not "rare". $369 is a bit much for one though.

Some companies are even trying to sell Russian captured K98s for 6-700 dollars or more! They're from a collector and "rare". Yeah right!

it's a fair price if it has the original sling it's a steal since they sell for $100.00 on their own. Does the , trigger guard, magazine, match the receiver? If it's in good shape I would consider it a good investment since the SKS has more the proven itself in the collectors world over the last decade.

    Late note:

If your looking to buy these from Dan's ammo then they are graded and priced correctly his last shipment of 100% all matching B series were at $425.00 and they sold out to collectors on several sites including the SKS boards within a day or two. A few weeks later we tracked some up on GB that sold for $500-$550.00 to collectors looking to fill a spot.

Again it's a fair price and a decent investment.

Classic Arms is a bunch of ass holes and only ass holes will pay collector grade prices for beat RC Mausers.

I think asshole is one word. On family boards I refer to it as a fundamental orifice.
