    Default Going to Scotia

    Guys and Gals,
I'm going out to Scotia on Saturday (Aug 30). Will be there about 9 AM if any one is interested. Got a couple of things to shoot and some training to do. Hope to see some of you there. I'll be in a red Ford Ranger.

BTW, I will be bringing some ammo for sale (lots of MagTech 38 and 357, some 30-30, 22, buckshot and slugs) in case anyone is interested.

    Count me in.
I'll be the the dummy getting his Mercedes all dusty.

And btw, that Taurus 94 is great fun. at less than 4 cents a shot, I am really liking .22lr for plinking.

I assume that it was you, asterix that I saw yesterday out at the piistol range as I was getting ready to leave (green car)?

    yeah, that was me.
I move in and shoot from ~10 yrds when I can though, so its not all that bad.

Sadly its either my Mercedes or my Suzuki, and I don't think I'd make it on the bike... I'm not too keen on breaking my ankle so I doubt I'll ever try.

just an FYI that is easier on your car... if you take the road to enter from W gatesburg road (not scotia road side) the roadway is MUCH easier on the car! I ONLY enter from the scotia road side when I am on that side of town and there is alot of traffic otherise I will drive around to the other side just to take it easy on the car.

    Thanks for the tip ithinkyou'reamedic!
    I'll try that next time.

And, Xring, I believe I told you (quite confidently) that Scotia opened at 8am Saturday and 12pm Sunday... well... that is true according to the PGC website, but not true according to the sign on the Scotia office door...
Now the wording on the website reads:
These ranges are open year-round, from 8 a.m. until sunset, except for Sunday mornings, unless otherwise posted.
which means the sign on the door must supercede the website... :-/

So I may have lied to you... But, at least the Aux range will be available before noon!

Yeah, I was going to let you know that, I'll be at the aux range around 9 and then when the main opens we can migrate there if we want to.

Sounds like fun, but I am gonna try to make it to the USPSA style match at the OSC. With diesel prices, I haven't made it out to Holidaysburg for IDPA in months so I am itching to punch some holes in paper.

I might try and swing out in the morning for a bit. I'll bring a couple rifles if somebody wants to shoot a few, but then I got some finish carpentry I gotta do today.
