If you do decide to bite, please let us know how it goes. I have also seen these, but am waiting to hear a few 'success stories' (or not).

ditto. I consider myself handy enough to do the job right, but would love to hear some success stories, and possibly some decent round count testing.

Re: Polymer 80 Glock lower
I thought they made these things from molds. How does this work? Is it just a chunk of plastic that resembles the frame and you have to machine the rest out?

Funny I was just watching some Youtube vids on this. So far worth researching further.

Re: Polymer 80 Glock lower
Soooooo all of us are in the same boat then I've put my hands on one over at the last oaks show(assembled) seems pretty solid I still have some difficulty with the fact the rear slide rails are plastic and not metal but they do provide a lifetime warranty. Still I prefer reliability wondering if I could mill out a rear rail block on my mini mill but I would need to buy the kit then spend even more for parts so in reality it becomes a freakin costly build ..... probably cost less to pick up a leo trade in glock 17 and cannibalize it for the slide assy and parts kit than it would to buy the parts separately. I may need to suffer the extra cash ...... damn it.

Re: Polymer 80 Glock lower
I looked at the one at Oaks too, and almost parted with my cash. I couldn't get past what looked to me like a $100-$200 premium over a new Glock. I'd like see plenty of positive reviews (and maybe an improved second generation model) before I take the plunge.
