AR guru's -spare parts
Discussing hypothetically. What spare parts would you recommend having on hand in a worse comes to worse situation? Have similar thread in handguns.
Thanks in advance. It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to.

Re: AR guru's -spare parts
Erry single little spring- loaded pin and the spring that does the loading.
Beyond that, a NY reload is useful.American by BIRTH, Infidel by CHOICE

Re: AR guru's -spare parts
Things I've seen break on a semi regular basis are hammer and trigger pins, hammer and trigger springs, extractor and extractor springs, the bolt, the gas rings. Bolt cam pins rarely break but they do get lost as do firing pin retaining pins.
So a lower parts kit, spare complete bolt along wit a cam pin and firing pin retaining pin should keep you going.2021 PMSC/PAFOA Group shoot dates here https://forum.pafoa.org/showthread.php?t=366923

Lower parts kit, including the fire control group & complete bolt carrier group.

2 is 1, 1 is none, if you operate from this thesis, you will be just fine.

Re: AR guru's -spare parts
For some reason, I can't have spare parts around by themselves - they breed rifles ! And I probably should sell some of those (because I need brakes on the car) but then I would have a void in life that I would have to fill... Right now, there is this extra (now complete) lower that is screaming at me, and there is an upper looking for a barrel and some sights - I'm hoping to mate the 2 of them together at some point...if I wanted to by some extra things to have around just in case I feel the urge to build another one - - I would store another LPK -complete for like $49 on sale... a couple of crush washers, a spare castle nut, a buffer spring and weight, maybe a buffer tube, a couple of detent pins, a front sight, 2-3 complete BCG and a few extra firing pins - Wait a minute - DAMNIT that's another rifle or 2 !
In all honesty, a spare complete LPK and a spare BCG (maybe an extra firing pin) and you should be well more than GTG !
anything more than that, just make a spare rifle to keep in the closet.
