Re: The most unreliable handgun you have owned
I had a Llama mini max, it was pure garbage, it left my ownership after 500 rounds of failure to feed, fialure to eject, failure to go into battery, and failure to fire. Needless to say I didn't have it very long after the 500 round mark.
My Kimber CDP Pro in .40 had issued but as well as my wifes Kimber Ultra Carry in .40, but these issues resolved tehmselves after changing out the mags for some Tripp Research Cobra mags, that's one thing about Kimbers, thier magazines are horrible, it really ticks me off that you have to buy thier higher quality TAC mags, which are based off of Chip McCormicks design and the origional mags that come with your pistol are garbage. Really if they realize that they needed better mags enough to make the TAC mags, why do the pistols still come with crap? Originally thier mags were made from Mecgar and I think those were the worst FOR A KIMBER.Last edited by jdlv4_0; November 21st, 2006 at 09:48 AM.

Re: The most unreliable handgun you have owned
Not really unreliable, but total "dog poop", the Colt All American 2000.
Back around 92 or so, I purchased one as soon as they came out, took it to my range and proceeded to put it through its paces, fireing 300-400 rounds. The more I shot it, the worse the trigger pulled got and the more the groups opened up. (And before you ask I CAN shoot! )
Took the gun back to the store the next day, sold it back (only lost $50 bucks so no big deal).
Learned a valuable lesson: Don't be in a hurry to be the first one on the block with the new toy!Tomorrow's battle is won during today's practice.

Re: The most unreliable handgun you have owned
Probably the worst gun i ever saw was the starr 9mm, the thing simply did not hold up to shooting regularly, the one we had at the GPGC parts came flying off of it, they also had 3 Glocks with broken parts on them, they where replaced by new bottoms and seemed to work fine after that.

Re: The most unreliable handgun you have owned
I have a Bushmaster Arm pistol in .223. It is the most unreliable gun I have ever owned. When it runs it runs really well other wise it jams after each round. I have sent it back at least three times and every time they say nothing is wrong.

Re: The most unreliable handgun you have owned
An early S&W 22A....it went back to the factory 3 times. It's last trip was into the used gun case at the gun club....sold it & bought a Buckmark & never regretted it.
I guess I must have bought the only Jennings 22 on the planet that functions reliably. I honestly don't remember the last time it failed to function.....There are three kinds of people in this world....them what's good at math and them what ain't.

Re: The most unreliable handgun you have owned
Same here with the PT-92 never a FTF or FTE. I think yours may have been the exception. Now Llamas and Stars...that's a different story. I had a brand new Walther P-22 that was a total POS for me, wouldn't shoot any brand of 22 ammo (I tried 7) more than 1 mag without a jam. May have been the exception....I dunno. I returned it for service and traded it on something (don't remember what) though I did tell the dealer about my prior experience with it. Also those Romanian AK-22 Trainers from SOG (not the Armscorp clones) mine will do 15 rds max before a jam or failure to fee/fire....some guys have had good luck with them but many have had issues like me. Love the gun though!!!

Re: The most unreliable handgun you have owned
Cobra CA380 (Davis).
The slide broke radially about an inch back from the muzzle. POS gun, but I'm waiting for a $100 buy back program to make money on it. Customer service replaced the slide at n/c and had it back in a week though. No Signature Required

Re: The most unreliable handgun you have owned
Tarus 24/7 45 this thing would only fire every other round you put in it. Has the same firing pin in it that they use for the 9mm and just didn't seem strike the primer worth a damn.
By the way I have never had a problem with any of my Kimber's by far my favorite handgun.
