Re: PA Law on Surrendering Firearm During a Stop
I don't think it's silly at all, it's very serious. It is a warrantless seizure of your personal property which is not something I think anyone should consent to, I certainly will not. And your point is absolutely correct that anyone announcing they are legally carrying and shows proof of that is obviously not doing anything wrong and therefore the cop has zero reasonable suspicion to legitimately disarm you. I suppose this is where many folks argue that saying nothing about the gun in the first place is the best route to go.

Re: PA Law on Surrendering Firearm During a Stop
Which maybe true, but in clear violation of the law.
Not that the laws regarding lights and emergency vehicles are written well or with any actually understanding of safety, research or experience.
If they were we would all be required to use at least a mechanical siren, have air-horns and a rumbler. Because we all know a eletronic siren is good for about 50 feet or less at highway speed, and the human ear has trouble detecting the direction of higher pitched (traditional siren) sounds.
Hell, you cops don't even have to use lights. Just the siren. You know, the left effective warning device. Who the hell thought that was a good idea?Last edited by PAMedic=F|A=; July 18th, 2016 at 10:20 PM.

You're just pissed 'cause you can't do it. Tough shit. If you can't fight 'em, join 'em...if you have what it takes.
