    Default Truck gun

Due to the current state of affairs I have been thinking it is time to start keeping a rifle and shotgun in the truck. The problem being I want it accessible but remain hidden and secured. I have a full size f150 with a standard cab. The space behind the seats is about 18" deep, so I am thinking something like an old military rifle box. I am thinking this box could hold as many as three long guns some ammo and several mags, maybe a cleaning kit.

My truck also has an alarm with two communication to my cell phone.

    Any ideas?

Is it a full bench seat, or split buckets? If possible, I think it would be better to store guns under the seat, so you wouldn't have to exit the vehicle to access them.

ETA: For security against BLM people, just leave some long-handled tools in the bed. Fear of anything related to work should keep your guns safe.

I want to mount my M3HB in the bed of my truck. Push a button and the tonneu cover rolls back,
and the gun comes up on a hydraulic mount. Or have the same but inside the cab.

What about an AR pistol? You could keep it loaded, too.

That would be my suggestion as well.

When I was younger, all the pick-ups had gun racks and during small game season you would always see a shotgun mounted.

If you're OK with a pistol caliber, the Kel-Tec Sub 2000 is a pretty cool gun...

    ... except it's a Kel-Tec.

These days an AK/AR pistol makes more sense in a vehicle due to our PA laws of not allowing rifles to be loaded in a vehicle. Pistols are also more compact therefore easier to hide/conceal.
