    Question what happens when you

a 9x18 makarov snuck into my 9x19 Luger pile of brass. Had i not caught it and loaded and shot it, what would have happened? Be gentle with me, I'm new at this.

I started a thread about it last year (I think). Same thing happened to me, shot many of them without a problem.
From what I hear its not good but nothing happened.

I fired about three rounds out of someone else's CZ-75 that failed to eject before we realized that .380 was loaded instead of 9mm.

No damage to firearm or shooter. But I would not intentionally do this. We are talking one reloaded round.

However I'm guessing that this 9x18 was loaded with enough powder for 9x19 specs? If the potential pressure generated by this load is to high I would not shoot it in a 9x18 caliber firearm either.

I would disassemble it or put it in the dud bucket.

I realize the OP stated that he found this case in his loading brass BEFORE loading it.
I am not sure it would even run through the sizing die.

OP, how did you spot the case?
