The media is misinformed. And the database that handgun transfers is recorded in is unlawfully being used as a registration.

True there is no law to register firearms, however the second form you fill out to buy a handgun is a registration of sorts even though it iisn't supposed to be.

SBS and SBRs are a different matter. Those firearms are registered the same as a full auto and require the same paperwork and ATF approval for you to buy one or have the barrel shortened.
