    Cool Weapons of War?

    How many you got?

All these firearms were made for and/or by the US military and intended for WAR. Yet they were released from service and sold by the US Gov't to US citizens.

None of them have killed anyone while in my ownership.

    M1 Garands
    M1 carbines
    1917 rifles
    1903 rifles
    1894 Krag rifles
    1886 'Trapdoor' rifles
    1917 revolvers
    1911 pistols
    1860 revolver
    1847 revolver
Also have a bunch made for foreign militaries.

My M1's were issued to me. Yep gravity has firm control, not going anywhere.

I consider my Glock 19 a military style rapid response sidearm chambered in a nato caliber designed for killing on the battlefield.

It probably has no place in my quiet Amish countryside

Thinking about your list and one omission is the M14 which - although it wasn't released for civilian sale - is available in clone form with the M1A.

If you look at a Springfield Scout M1A, it has an OAL of 40" plus available removable 30-round 7.62x51 magazines and a bayonet lug. By comparison, Colt's LE6920 has an OAL of 32" (35" with stock extended) plus available removable 5.56x45 30-round magazines and a bayonet lug.

So why is one never even discussed while the other is an evil assault rifle that has to be banned? Just trying to understand hoplophobes.

Because the gun grabbers are not trying to ban a specific gun, they want all guns banned and they use the AR-15 as their boogeyman since it's the most recognizable.

How about the Beretta 92 and the Sig P228? Or we can call them M9's and M11's to make them sound more scary.

C'mon, we all know my M9 is a weapon of war because its magazine has a capacity greater than 10.
