2-Gun Tournament - July 9th (SW PA)

Washington County Tactical Range in West Alexander, PA is hosting a Quick Draw Shooting Tournament on 09-July-2016 at 11:00 am. Entry fee is $25 and tickets go on sale June 9th on our website. This will be great opportunity for shooters to check out our new electronic targeting system manufactured by Auto Targets at our range. Tournament will be limited to 40 shooters.

Prizes:
1st Prize - $200 plus a 50-round belt on our Full-Auto M60 belt-fed machine gun
2nd Prize - $50 plus 20-round magazine out of our Full-Auto SCAR-17 or Full-Auto P90
3rd Prize - $25 plus a 30-round magazine on our Full-Auto MP5 machine gun
4th Prize - a 30-round magazine on our Full-Auto Glock 18 machine gun

Lanes:
1st Lane: Shooter starts with slinged rifle with bolt forwarded with no magazine and holstered handgun that has no chambered round with 2 rounds in the inserted magazine. At tone, shooter draws, chambers round, and shoots targets at 10’, 20’, and 30’ through designated holes of the 9-hole barricade reloading as necessary. Shooter will then hostler handgun and transition to rifle, and then moves to 2nd shooting spot, loads rifle, and shoots targets at 25’ and 150’ feet through designated holes of the 9-hole barricade. Loading rifle before entering 2nd shooting spot is a Disqualifying Safety Violation (DQ).

2nd Lane: Shooter will be seated at a table with their hands on their knees. Handgun will be on the table unloaded and without magazine with 2 fully-loaded magazines on table. At tone, while staying seated and shooting over the table, shooter will load and shoot 1st target twice, change magazine, then shooter will engage other 4 targets twice reloading as necessary. Targets will be at 5’, 25’, 50’, 75’, and 100’ feet.

3rd Lane: Shooter will be standing behind closed door with holstered one-in-the-chamber loaded handgun with 1 round in the magazine. At tone, shooter will open door and engage 5 “bad guy” targets twice without hitting “good guy targets” reloading as necessary. Targets will range in distance from 5’ to 50’.

Rules for Event:
• All shooters must be 16+ years old. Absolutely no one under 16 is permitted on premises.
• Eye protection must be worn by EVERYONE at all times.
• Ear protection must be worn by active shooter.

Extra Stuff:
• We will be renting our 25+ machine guns after the event is over.
• The Highlands Shopping complex is just 15 minutes away from us. They have multiple motels, restaurants, stores as well as a Cabela's. Located at: 546 Cabela Dr, Triadelphia, WV 26059. If you prefer to pitch a tent or RV it, we have a large field you can use at no cost.

Tentative schedule for shoot:
• Range opens at 8:00 am. 100' pistol range will be available for practice and meet & greet follow shooters until 10:00am.
• Registration is from 9:00am to 10:30am.
• Safety briefing is at 10:45am.
• First shooter on the line at 11:00am. There will be little time allocated between shooters, so next shooter after active shooter needs to be "On Deck" and ready to roll.

We are getting lots of positive feedback for the unique stations we are having at this event. We encourage first time event shooters to give this event a try, it's something different for SW PA.

PAFOA members can shoot the Full-Auto Glock 18 for free using your ammo just for entering this event. Ammo must be factory loaded FMJ. Limited to 20 rounds.

Shooter Equipment:
Shooters will use their own firearms. Accepted handgun calibers are: 9mm, 357 Sig, 40S&W, 45ACP, 10mm. Rifle caliber is limited to 556/223. No specs on sling or sights. Optics are allowed.
