A major gun safety advocacy organization announced Friday it is endorsing Hillary Clinton for president.
Everytown for Gun Safety president John Feinblatt said in a statement: "Gun Sense Voters have a champion in Hillary Clinton. Our litmus test is simple: does a candidate side with the public or with the gun lobby? Hillary Clinton passes that test with flying colors -- pushing back against the NRA's extreme 'guns for everyone, everywhere' agenda, and ushering in a new political calculus that saving lives from gun violence is a winning issue."

Richard Martinez, an outreach associate with the Everytown organization in California whose son was killed in a 2014 shooting near University of California-Santa Barbara, said in the statement that he will be voting for Clinton in the critical California primary on Tuesday "because she is the only candidate who fights for gun violence survivors and stands up to the extremist gun lobby."

Everytown for Gun Safety was launched in 2014 with a $50 million pledge from former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, an outspoken advocate of gun control laws, in response to the Sandy Hook shooting massacre.

I wouldn't count too much on the unions, Off shoring of jobs has been a sticking point for the last 8 years.
obama made promises to the UAW and other unions to bring back American Jobs, yet American car builders are building how many trucks and cars in Mexico and Canada? She'll get the liberal left, but whats left of the middle cals and ex midle class isn't too happy with the current situation.

Richard Martinez, the outreach associate/lawyer working for the Bloomberg-backed Everytown for Gun Safety lost a son in the 2014 Isla Vista killings perpetrated by one Elliot Rodger.

While Richard Martinez certainly has my condolences for the loss of his son, our inalienable rights are not contingent upon the actions of the demented.

California has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation, yet those laws (and the laws against murder and assault) did not prevent the self-absorbed Elliot Rodger from conducting his murderous rampage, which killed six and injured many others.

No amount of laws would have stopped the lawless Elliot Rodger.

Interestingly, Christopher Martinez appears to be the last person killed of the six persons killed by Rodger. Had any of the victims been armed, perhaps the loss of life would have been less and Elliot Rodger's retribution would have been stopped in its tracks much earlier.

After killing Christopher Martinez and crashing his car, Rodger died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Unfortunately, Unions have always voted Democratic. Unlike Republicans who haven't learned a thing - Democrats will vote for anyone running on the Democrat Ticket even if they are running from a jail cell. Yes - such a shame...

I know a lot of union construction workers because I manage commercial projects. The almost all like, and own guns. They are all voting for Hillary because they've always voted Democrat, and that's what the union wants.
