    Default Def-Con 1 Gunsmith

Has anyone used the gunsmith at Def-Con 1? If so, what was your experience? I'm looking to have some sights changed on a 1911 (swapping Novak sights for Novak night sights) and swapping a trigger.

I just found out that Def-Con 1 is closing at the end of the month (May) and the whole place will only be the BBQ restaurant. (stopped by for some brisket)
You may want to call to see what the current status is for gunsmith work.

It was not clear exactly where the gunshop part is moving. Apparently not too far away, but I did not have time to get details. only that it will NOT be Def-Con 1 anymore. If you find out more please feel free to share.

I had him put night sights on two guns a few months ago. Nice job and fast. Dropped them off at around 1PM and picked them up a couple hours later.

As stated, the gun shop is closing on or around May 30th. Supposedly, it will be reopening "around the corner," but I haven't heard about an exact location or time frame.
