What flavor do you want? Plated, Jacketed or plain lead?

Same as I shoot with everything else. I don't make specific loads for IDPA. I usually use 115 Precision Delta fmj's, Federal primers and Titegroup powder. Ive been using some bulk shotgun powder fro Spain this year since it was all i could find. I loads exactly the same as Universal. I always load a couple grains below max. I don't want to have problems dropping steel targets.

Seriously guys I don't understand why anyone would waste premium ammo or bullets for IDPA loads. Well at least unless you wanted to test your best stuff for accuracy. Good bullets of an appropriate type for your pistol don't have to be match quality. If you're not shooting a pistol with polygonal rifling, cast lead, plated or coated are just fine and as long as you're making "power factor", the targets and steel plates aren't going to be able to tell the difference.

I use a Glock factory polygonal rifling barrel and plated bullets like Xtreme or Berry's are 100% fine with no issues. I shot a few thousand uncoated cast lead and I would start to get some fouling around 500 rounds in the rifling near the chamber and you could tell accuracy was starting to drop. It was easily cleaned and back in service. Moral of the story is that shooting cast lead bullets through a polygonal barrel is safe if you clean pretty regularly.
