Default Armslist seller has his gone stolen at gunpoint.

Just heard on the news that a man who had an AK47 type rifle listed for sale on Armslist agreed to meet a prospective buyer at a public location in Philadelphia earlier today. When the seller arived at the location he was approached by two men.One of them drew a pistol and ordered the seller to hand over the rifle. The seller did so and the two men ran off on foot.

This is why I stick to dealing with reputable members off this site or Gunbroker.

The rifle shown looked to be half decent and I might have been interested had I seen it sooner but I rarely peruse the ads of Armslist.

Sounds like another reason to go to a gun shop and request the buyer has a pics check. Not that I promote pics checks for every purchase but for those random people that you don't know it can't hurt.

Gunlaywer says "do your due diligence". This time it would have paid off.

I won't do Armslist. It's the Craigslist of gun sales. No bueno. I hear too many bad stories about it and there are much better options, as mentioned above.

Just saw it on Fox news. They mentioned Armslist and had a pretaped phone interview with the victim. It was 54th and Berk St in Philly. Why don't you just drive into West Philly and throw the AK out the window. Who the fuck drives into West Philly to sell anything, let alone an AK.

Very poor judgement coupled with greed?..The seller is twenty four years old according to the news report.

Amen to that! I avoid ANY part of Philly for that matter!
Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.
