How many times have we seen ads right here on POOFA where the seller is saying a background check is required for a long gun?

How many times have we seen an ad where the pistol must be "registered" out of the sellers name?

How many times do we see threads where people are asking about giving a handgun to their father or son?


The sad truth is that people generally don't have a clue about things that directly impact their lives, as long as they think they are getting a decent paycheck and have a couple of bucks for a six pack they are generally found wandering around with eyes glazed over waiting for the next episode of their favorite show to come on.

Background checks on all gun purchases to keep them out of the hands of criminals makes for a great tv Commerical so I'm not at all surprised. Once again our side defaults to FU retorts so any reasonable alternatives will never even be considered.

When I see felons given probation twice for firearms felonies, and then being acquitted on a murder charge, again with a firearm, and again getting a slap on the wrist, I wonder what good background checks are. This actually happened in good old Erie. Are prisons full to capacity?

You should then support a good dictator who would get rid of elections and kill all those you consider cancerous. Russia may be a good start because they don't worry all that much about stupid voters who disagree. If they are not strict enough for you there are also other options to consider.

It is the Progressives that want a fascist dictatorship. They do NOT tolerate any different opinions. If you don't agree with them you are demonized, and ridiculed. They want conservatives removed from society. You just don't see it because you are surrounded by them and are probably one yourself.
