Re: RUGER LCP
I have shot 3 kinds of Self Defense ammo through my LCP, 90gr Federal Hydra Shoks, 102gr Remington Golden Sabers and 80gr cor-bon dpx. They all cycled fine and didnt have a ftf or fte. Personally i was carrying the federal hydra shocks, but recently switched to the remington goldren sabers, because they are a heavier round, and based on the reviews I have red about .380 ammo the remington delivers alot of energy for a .380. They also never had any issues with expansion in any of the tests i have read. The cor-bon dpx's also do very well in these little guns and expand well, but they are pricey. The federals I was carry got mixed reviews on some fo the tests some expanded some didnt. I also ready that the 90gr hornady xtp also dose very well in these little guns. Based on the reviews of the Golden Sabers and their weight and expansion is why i went with them.
Left to right, Hornady xtp .380, Magtech hollow point, and Golden Saber shot into ballistics gel, hornady expanded well and so did the remington GS but mad tech didnt expand. All the .380 golden saber results seem to look just like the image above and that works for me.
GS on top Hronady and magtech on bottom

Re: RUGER LCP
I'm not a hardcore gun guy and don't know a lot about ballistics etc. I'm just getting back into it. I've read enough about FMJ compared to HP's etc etc. it sounds like you lean toward the HP's?

Re: RUGER LCP
I've had a LCP since May, and I've put Federal Hydrashocks, Blazer Brass, and S&B through it.
