Conspiracy theory?
Just thinking how easy it is to mold an RF microwave chip into the plastic frames of modern handguns.
Obliterating the serial number would then do no good.I don't speak English , I talk American!

Re: Conspiracy theory?
I don't think the chip is active by itself. I believe it needs to be activated by the inquiring beam. Kind of like photography works. An inert object is recorded on sensitized film by recording the light reflecting from the object. I would think a chip would be vulnerable to something...such as EMP?

Dropped one in the grip for inventory tracking in the factory. Big hub bub. I think they stopped. It's removable.

Re: Conspiracy theory?
My understanding is it isn't that hard to burn them out with a strong enough RF field. That is how some stores deactivate the anti-theft RFID chips in your merchandise when you pay for it.

Re: Conspiracy theory?
No names shall be spelled out, but at least two major manufacturers embed uniquely identifiable RFID chips for inventory control.
