    Default Surefire vs. YHM

I have 2 cans ordered from Surefire. 7.62 for my .30-06 and 5.56 for my Bushmaster AR.

From reading the other threads on the subject, I came across the YHM supressors. Even watched a nice video on YouTube.

I was impressed with the fact that the guy put all 4 different caliber cans on 1 gun. This is what I originally wanted to do but was told that the 7.62 can would not make my AR as quiet as a dedicated 5.56 can. Based on the video of the YHM supressors, it didn't seem to make much difference on the 10/22. Does anyone here have experience with YHM and using 1 supressor for multiple calibers? How is the company? Prices seemed ok. I could sell the 2 SureFires that I bought and only have to buy 1 supressor and 2 Flash Hiders.

video does NOT accurately capture gunshots (suppresses or otherwise)

I'm not saying the YHM may not sound better to your ear in person but video bad way to compare.

usually a 308 can is just as quiet on a 223 as a dedicated 223 can (also the tone is *usually* lower)

The downside is weight and length.

Update...if anyone cares. Paperwork is at the sheriff's office. I am keeping both Surefires. 30-06 is at the smiths getting the barrel cut and threaded for the QD Flash Hider. I can't wait to get this setup. It is going to look sweet. I will post pics once I get it back. .223 can is on its way. Not here yet.
