Default Brand New PA Resident, LTCF questions

I have an out-of-state PA LTCF from Centre County that expired March 1, about three weeks before I moved to Allegheny county from Nevada. I also have current Nevada and Utah permits (no reciprocity with PA as far as I know)

The complicating issue for me is that I have a DUI arrest from February 2015 that was pled down to reckless driving, (a so-called wet reckless). FWIW, my BAC was .086, or 6/1000th over the the limit. The Nevada case is in a state of suspended animation for one year from Jan 5, 2016 while I complete 3 classes, pay the fine, and stay out of trouble for 1 year (not a problem as it is the first legal trouble of any kind in my 56 years).

The Allegheny Sheriff site says ANY open cases or unpaid fines (even if not yet overdue) will result in a refusal to process the application. This case will be technically open for the rest of the year under the terms of the plea.

    Should I expect a denial?

I have long been an advocate of not asking questions when i KNOW I'm not going to like the answer.
Back a ways, you slipped and fell into the crap.
You are well on the way towards being out of the crap.

I would wait until you know you are free and clear before applying.

Good luck and welcome to PAFOA

How long until your PA LTCF expires? It's good until then or is revoked. Keep quiet if it's good for over a year your good to go.

I'd go with this. If it's less than a year until this is settled, then I'd just wait it out.

    Default Update . . .

Update: My application (which had been submitted prior to this thread) was APPROVED after about a twelve day delay for 'research'. I'm pleased and relieved, to say the least.
Happy to be a Pennsylvania resident once again, and grateful for this online community.
