Finally got the P-99!

It took me over a year to track down the Walther(AS model). It's now discontinued. SW99 is the only thing close to it. The ergonomics itself, make it a must have for any collector. It fits so well in the hand. The ambidextrous mag release kills the Glock. Having the option of both SA/DA mode is another plus. I found my new carry weapon. It's also a few grams lighter than My G23.

I'm now currently looking for a holster. If anyone can throw me some suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm looking for a paddle. Leather is fine but I'm a fan of tactical as well. The Fobus caught my eye.

Side note: To the Glock enthusiasts...I'm not abandoning My 23...it's still a great pistol and I've had absolutely NO problems with it whatsoever. I'm just giving it a break for a while.

Come up one weekend! The AS model has both SA/DA modes. The DA mode is what it was in during the picture. I'm sure knight can elaborate on this as well. He's got the QA which ONLY has the DA mode.

AFAIK, Walther is still making the P99, they're just not in very high supply over here in the states right now. Or did I miss something?

I think the AS model was discontinued, which is what I think he meant.

Hmm from what I've heard...they're no longer made?? It must be the AS model that was pulled. I've heard it a few places including yesterday when I picked it up. The owner of the shop said "ya they don't make them anymore"

Well...the Walther/SW merge turned out the SW99 so I guess that's the alternative. I'll have to look into that.

Where's a good spot for mags? 12 rd 40sw I was looking on cdnn but their shipping prices are astronomical.

Just put 5 rounds through it. Extremely accurate. I made a few phone calls while I was pulling that sucker in DA mode though lol.

So there's a DA and a SA mode, but it's a striker fired pistol?
