Actually what is really scary is we have gone almost all the way back to pre-9/11 levels. US Marshalls who were originally supposed to step up their on plane presnece have gone back to pre-9/11 levels.
the only benefit is now pilots are permitted to carry after approved training, however its pretty much guaranteed that if a pilot is packing there are no air marshalls on the plane as they consider it "covered"
and less then 5% of the domestic flights and somewhere around 1% or less of the int'l flights are "covered"The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.
Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

As sad as it is I have to agree with you 1000% ... we have lost ALL track of what's important. Our "department of homeland security" is now THE most inefficient, money wasting holes this country has EVER seen. Our "intelligence agencies" (what a joke) STILL will not communicate with each other ... literally NO ONE is willing to play on the same field.

He had mine in the primaries, I'll probably choke down McCain in the general election. It's a vote NOT for Obama, and thats all that matters.
