Bought a little Charter Arms Pathfinder .22 mag 2" revolver. It's the all steel model, not the "lite". My intended purpose was a backpack or tackle box gun, nothing more. Took it to the range and got a few surprises. I hate surprises, especially at the range. The little revolver did just fine with 40 gr. Winchesters and CCIs. Next up were Hornady 45 gr. Critical Defense FTX. At least two out of every six keyholed at 7 and 10 yds. I realize this short barrel is only imparting a 1:18" twist (yikes !) but I was also expecting a defensive round to stabilize in a small, concealable handgun for which I thought that ammunition was marketed.
Anybody else with a similar story ?
