Default Tactical Response Training ND at Sacramento, CA facility

I'm sure some of you have seen this elsewhere, but I thought I'd post it here.

If you have ever thought about taking a class with James Yeager or his company, I suggest you seriously (and be seriously, I mean Don't Do It) reconsider.

TL;DR: TR instructor tells all students to throw their guns into the ground and stomp on them because they are tools not supposed to be pretty. Instructor then does the same to his pistol. His pistol fires and bullet flies parallel to students and into a students truck...then ricocheting.

I'm amazed this guy is not chased out of the industry.

My work guns aren't pretty and have plenty of holster wear but I'm sorry you tell me that and I'm not above telling you to get fucked.

I don't disagree with the premise. It is a valid point. I have witnessed students "babying" their holsters and other gear and it is not a good habit and should be avoided. Weapons need to be manipulated (and handled) in the same manner as they function ..... hard and aggressively.

There is no question his method was remarkably imprudent. It sounds more like it was an exercise in bravado.

There is hard use and hen there is abuse. That is abuse. Banging a gun off a support or door way etc is one thing throwing it in the dirt and just treating it like garbage is abuse

That's a shame. TR used to be a good, mainstream training cadre.

I loved the youtube video of their training with the guy standing down range in between targets taking pictures while students were shooting.

I would love to see video of the ND. Supposedly the range staff at the range were the ND occurred is investigating the incident.
