I am selling a Beretta CX4 carbine. A potential buyer asked if it is 922r compliant
It was bought at a gun store, not built from parts. How could it not be compliant?

The potential buyer is applying importation 922R laws regarding the amount of total US compliant parts on imported sporting rifles. If the carbine is in its stock configuration like it came from the factory your good to go.

i think the CX4 comes in already 922r compliant. If you had done something like alter the "thumb hole" stock or add a muzzle brake you might run afoul of the law but as-is should be fine.

It is unmodified. It seems like an odd question.

the potential buyer is just ignorant of what firearms do or don't require 922 compliance.
