Damn I love this thing. The "brutal" factory .357 magnum loads weren't so bad. Loaded a bunch of 158 gr. 38 special and they shot great. Easy to carry in a Simply Rugged Silver Dollar pancake holster.

Yeah, 38 feels like a 22 after 5 quick 357 shots.

.357's are a little "snappy" in them. Still controllable though, especially considering how light weight they are. I carry golden sabers in mine. Fits in my coat pocket with a desantis nemisis perfectly for trips to the store and in my bibs pocket for doing farm work.

I just picked one up in December and I think it'll get a lot of use this summer. Good choice imo.

My wife is looking at one of these for conceal carry. She currently has an SP-101 in 357 and shoots 38 in it and really enjoys it. How hard is the recoil with the 357 in the LCR?

It's a little unpleasant for me. I'm used to shooting larger framed guns.

Although Aquila, the only factory 357 ammo I've tried so far, wasn't too bad I bought this pistol to experiment with reloading. I originally was going to get the .327 Fed. but looked like the components were pretty damn expensive compared to 38/357 - like $200 for 1000 pieces of brass. So my quest is to make a slightly smoother shooting .357 HP. The guy I buy from sold me some Autocomp and I have Titegroup. Loaded some test rounds at low/med/high grains for each. Wasn't able to test them today like I planned - ended up in prison! Eastern State Pen tour with my wife and family. Oh well, next weekend. Autocomp sounds....challenging by some online accounts.

I only shoot 38s in my SP-101. Why get bruised shooting at paper targets. Saves money too.

I love revolvers and recently purchased a S & W 686 plus with a three inch barrel and a couple of speed loaders. I figure twenty one rounds of 158 grain .357 magnum cartridges should stop most threats.

A few years ago I purchased a semi automatic to see how they operate. My primary carry gun will always be a revolver
