    Default PT1911 railed vs. non-railed.

Ok, the bug got me too, at the Eastman's show last Sunday. I've got a choice between the two, and I was leaning more towards the non-railed. I was thinking I wouldn't really have a practical use for the rail, then started imagining a new bedstand piece, one with a TL-2 attached for some tacti-cool goodness.
    Thoughts? Opinions?
The guy wants $560 for a new non-railed, and $500 for a used with rails(although it looks brand new.)I was also wondering how the rail would affect holster selection.

And I hate to be a copycat, but sorry Rocketfoot, those Pachmeyr grips you have just look too damn good. I think a pair of those are in order whichever way I go.

I prefer non-railed 1911's (JMB would not approve of rails!) However, if you see the need for rails, then rails are what you want!

Pachmayr should pay me to advertise! LOL...but the ALS's are indeed the nicest grips I've ever owned!
