    Default slip2000 poor results...EWL tho???

I only put this hear cause i used it on my pistols.

Any of you experience anything like this?
This is the second time around with this stuff for me and still poor results, the last time was about 4 or 5 years ago it caused the outside of my Remington 700 to rust. This was a frequently used rifle approx once a week and cleaned well each time.

This time I decided to try it out again and it feels pretty slick going on but it burned off real fast from a pistol <100 rounds and I feel caused a few misfeeds/failure to eject, maybe 6-7 rounds out of the 100 I fired.

This stuff has been reviewed to death and has some really good reviews and ratings but I think it sucks!!!
I normally use clp or weapon shield and have used balistol and mpro7 lpx and haven't had an issue with any of them, I don't know what it is with the s2k that I'm not getting but I can't get good results with it and am writing to the company.
I know all about the great lube debate and it's more important to use what you have but if this is what I have and it doesn't perform well m not pleased with spending money on this crap...

    Anybody unhappy with this stuff?

I use slip 2000 EWL (extreme weapon lube) and have had great results on my pistols.

I have never tried regular slip 2000.

I run Slip 2k EWL 30 on my polymer guns without issue.

I use Weapon Shield now, but, I have used Slip 2000 EWL in the past and it works well. I use more grease than oil as even a film coat of grease stays put. IMHO the only way a good lube (like 2000) is going to cause malfunctions is if it reacting to another product like the vegetable based fireclean and froglube type lubes.

I'd give the gun a deep cleaning and start over.

    YMMV

There were issues with the Remington 700 barrels rusting.

Did all that. I decreased it with simple green and alcohol and even heated it during the application 3x

Ruger lcp. Never had a problem before that and I put mpro7 LPX and fired 50 more without any issues. With the s2k it dried up within 5 mags

That's odd in and of itself. A modern pistol shouldn't choke that quickly.

Which specific slip2k product are you using, just out of curiosity?

As I mention above--I run the EWL 30 weight on all polymer guns, including a Kel-Tech P32 which is going to suffer the same kind of stresses your LCP is. I regularly ultrasonic the gun bits, lube, and reassemble. Then carry for days if not weeks, pull gun out at range, and run 100 rounds. Never had a lube related issue.
