This was posted on the DE State Police FB page:

Troopers Investigate Attempted Armed Robbery – New Castle

New Castle, DE- Delaware State Police are investigating the attempted armed robbery of a New Castle area restaurant that occurred yesterday afternoon.

The initial investigation has determined that the incident occurred on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at approximately 1:55 p.m., as a male suspect entered the China Inn Restaurant, located at 216 New Castle Avenue, New Castle. The suspect approached a female employee of the restaurant and demanded money from the cash register. The female employee, however, refused to comply with the suspect’s demands. It was at this time that the suspect produced an unknown make and model handgun and again demanded money. The employee again refused to comply with the suspect’s demands. She then picked up a large knife and proceeded to chase the suspect out of the restaurant. He then fled in an unknown direction. There were no injuries.

The suspect was described as a white male 25-35 years of age. He was 5’10”-5’11” tall, weighed 190-200 lbs., and was last seen wearing a black leather jacket, light blue jeans, black shoes, a knit cap, and had a mask covering his face. There is no further physical or clothing description available.

This incident remains under investigation by the Delaware State Police. There are no video surveillance photos available at this time.

    That’s one ballsy woman.

Then again, maybe she just saw the small pinhole in the front of the barrel where the water squirts out.

    Gutsy.
She's lucky there is a difference between having a gun and being determined to use it.

My recollection of chino joints and liquor stores on New Castle ave. most have turnstile devices with bullet proof glass where you put the money in and the pass out the merchandise.... And yes it's a real shitty neighborhood.
