Where the hell you been george? I get about 3 for every 1000 I reload.

Re: Strange Primer issue from Speer Lawman
Haa, looks like it was loaded on my Loadmaster after I refill the primer tray. I get about one flipped primer for every hundred or so. Either flipped or pushed in sideways.

TYVM. Not being a reloader, I've never seen the other side of a primer. Interesting. I guess it happens occasionally.
I've been taking a timeout. I took a year or so off. Got tired of reading the stupid bickering,,,, I'll come back slowly.George,
So many guns, so little money.

Re: Strange Primer issue from Speer Lawman
If that's a flipped primer, it sure has a strange looking anvil. And what is that bright white spot in the middle? Being TMJ's, are these "green" rounds and as such use "green" primers? If that is what it is I would appreciate the enlightenment, but it sure doesn't look like any flipped primer I've ever seen.

Re: Strange Primer issue from Speer Lawman
Yep, looks like Berden primers, but the tri-anvil resembles a boxer. Would like to see in a fired case at the flash hole or holes.
Edit: Was curious so I went to the Speer site to check out the Lawman ammo. http://www.speer-ammo.com/products/lawman_cf.aspx
They have two versions and say they are reloadable. So that makes me think Boxer primer.
With the Lawman Clean fire it states: "The ignition power comes from our patented* Clean-Fire primer that contains no lead, barium, or antimony."
States CCI clean fire primers.Last edited by cephas; February 13th, 2016 at 04:20 PM.
It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to.

Re: Strange Primer issue from Speer Lawman
It looks to me that the primer cup is in backwards and the anvil is in the cup backwards. How it got that way is a mystery.
