I carried concealed last year and I will again on Saturday.
The only issue I ran into was the number of booths selling beautiful holsters. I wanted to try some on but it was awkward since I already had one on. I did buy one anyway, from an outfit in TX, and was very pleased.

This 9mm SBR was stolen last Sat the 6th of Feb, from our booth at the Great American Outdoor Show. We are offering a $3000 reward for information leading to the return of rifle and arrest and conviction of perpetrators. Serial number F150153. Precision Firearms PF15F. It was our one and only prototype 9mm Subgun.

No idea about the mayor. I believe the protocol is to OC.

OC or CC, whichever you want. No one there is going to care so long as you aren't fondling your carry piece or muzzling others with it.
