CZ Question / What should I do with my money thread
So I've recently acquired a CZ SP-01 from a fellow forum member. First and foremost, this thing is a fantastic gun. I absolutely love it. That being said, the trigger in DA could definitely use some shortening via CGW's available Pro-Package kit (https://cajungunworks.com/product/75...manual-safety/)
Here is where the dilemma lies: Should I spend the extra $300.00 on the pro-package or spend about $100 more and get a P-09?
Intended use is strictly range fun and back yard steel blasting.Last edited by ianb1116; February 2nd, 2016 at 09:01 PM.

I cannot answer your question without knowing what your intended use for the pistol is! If you're considering using it for one of the organized "action pistol sports" set the gun up IAW that sport's rules. Strictly a carry piece, keep it stock, but get the size and magazine capacity that fits your needs.

Re: CZ Question / What should I do with my money thread
The extended firing pin kit and 11lb hammer spring make a huge difference. The hammer, lifter, and short reset connector much less.
The stock P 09 and P 07 triggers I've felt, would send me running to Cajun Gun Works as well.
The extended firing pin kit and 11lb hammer spring are an easy install, I'd start there.
YMMV

Sell it and get a Sig with the Short Reset Trigger.

Stick to the SP-01 and do whatever work you want to it. For range use I'd definitely stick to an all steel construction pistol.

I've not shot the P-09 but all reports say its stupid accurate. I'm torn. New gun, or improved gun....

PO9 is outstanding out of the box , a Cajun Gun Works custom PO9 even better, A Cajunized SPO1 just as nice. A CZ Custom shop optic ready PO9 . I say buy one of each. I have an optic ready PO& that I am playing with currently and yes it trigger work as well.
